Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026 · Applies to tevapp.ai and the Tev waitlist
This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit tevapp.ai or join the Tev waitlist, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We have tried to write it in plain English rather than in the language of a compliance department.
1. Who we are
tevapp.ai is operated by CODE OF CORE LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17193932, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, CODE OF CORE LTD is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
You can reach us about anything in this policy at angelina@tevapp.ai.
2. What we collect
We collect the minimum we need, and nothing beyond it. There is no account system on this website, no analytics product, no advertising pixel and no third-party tracker. The fonts and every other asset are served from tevapp.ai itself, so visiting a page makes no request to any other company.
If you join the waitlist
| Data | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Your email address | You type it into the waitlist form |
| The date and time you signed up | Recorded automatically |
| Which form you used (for example the top of the home page, or the About page) | Recorded automatically, so we know which part of the site people respond to |
| The country your request came from, as a two-letter code such as GB | Derived by our hosting provider from your IP address. We store only the country code, never the IP address itself |
We do not ask for your name, and we do not require one.
If you only browse the site
You can read every page of tevapp.ai without giving us anything. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes ordinary technical request data — your IP address, the page requested, your browser's user-agent string — in order to serve the page and to protect the site from attacks and automated abuse. This data is handled by Cloudflare on our behalf and is not written into any database of ours.
If you email us
If you write to angelina@tevapp.ai, we hold your message and your email address for as long as we need them to deal with what you wrote about, and to keep a record of the correspondence.
3. Why we collect it, and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis under UK GDPR |
|---|---|
| To email you when Tev launches, and to send you a small number of messages about early access | Consent — Article 6(1)(a). You give it by submitting the waitlist form, and you can withdraw it at any time |
| To understand which pages bring people to the waitlist, and how many people are waiting | Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f): running and improving our own website. The data used for this is minimal and never identifies you individually in a report |
| To keep the site available and to block automated abuse of the waitlist form | Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f): network and information security |
| To answer emails you send us | Legitimate interests — Article 6(1)(f): responding to enquiries addressed to us |
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use it to build a profile of you. We do not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How long we keep it
- Waitlist entries: until Tev has launched and we have sent the messages you signed up for, and in any case no longer than 24 months from the date you signed up. After that we delete the entry.
- If you unsubscribe or ask to be removed: we delete your entry within 30 days, and usually the same day. Deletion removes the row entirely — we do not keep a shadow copy.
- Email correspondence: up to 24 months after the exchange ends, unless we need it longer for a legal reason.
- Cloudflare's technical logs: retained on Cloudflare's own schedule, which is short — a matter of days for edge request logs.
5. Who else sees it
Only the people and companies that need to, and only to do a job for us:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts this website, stores the waitlist database, and provides the security layer in front of it. Cloudflare acts as our processor under a data processing agreement.
- An email delivery provider — when we send the launch announcement, we will use a reputable transactional email provider to deliver it. We will name it here before the first message goes out.
- Our professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, where they genuinely need it.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose something.
If CODE OF CORE LTD is ever acquired or merged, waitlist data may transfer to the acquiring entity, which would be bound by this policy until it told you otherwise.
6. International transfers
Cloudflare is a US company operating a global network, so your data may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or another transfer mechanism recognised under UK law, together with the technical safeguards in the provider's own agreements.
7. Cookies and local storage
We set no cookies of our own, and there is no cookie banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to.
Two things are worth naming honestly:
- Your appearance preference. If you use the light/dark toggle, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key tev-theme. It never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
- Cloudflare security cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie such as __cf_bm to tell human visitors from bots. It is used only for that, lasts around 30 minutes, and is exempt from the consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only. The waitlist database is not reachable from the public internet — it can be read and written only by our own server code. Access to the underlying hosting account is protected by two-factor authentication and limited to the people who run the company. The waitlist form is rate-limited to prevent bulk automated submissions.
No system is perfect. If we ever suffer a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will report it to the Information Commissioner's Office within 72 hours and tell you directly where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Be informed — which is what this document is for.
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — have inaccurate data corrected.
- Erasure — have your data deleted. For the waitlist this is immediate and unconditional: just ask.
- Restrict processing in certain circumstances.
- Data portability — receive your data in a portable format.
- Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, email angelina@tevapp.ai. We will respond within one month. We will not charge you, and we will not ask you to justify the request. Every email we send you will also carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
10. Children
This website and the waitlist are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their email address, tell us and we will delete it.
11. The Tev app
This policy covers the tevapp.ai website only. The Tev app processes video, audio and other content, which raises questions this document does not answer. A separate privacy policy for the app will be published here before the app is released, and will be presented to you inside the app before you use it.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use data you have already given us — for example, using waitlist emails for a new purpose — we will email you about it first and, where consent is the basis, ask for it again.
